A Team of Passionate Designers.
We don’t only make things beautiful. We make them work great as well.
The suspended ceilings supplied by Abbey Interiors are perfect for concealing wiring for computers, telephone lines, burglar and fire alarms, vent ducts and plumbing, whilst at the same time providing instant access by removing one or more of the ceiling tiles. This feature of access is becoming more important as office infrastructure becomes more sophisticated, not only in commercial and industrial premises but also in residential properties and when refurbishing or renovating older buildings and units that require suspended ceilings. There are also specific tiles for use when Sound Proofing or in Hygiene areas (i.e. kitchen’s, operating theatres, doctor’s surgery, wet rooms, etc.)
Another service that Abbey Interiors provides is the provision of Sound and Fire Proofing. Fire Proofing is required by law and overseen by the Fire Departments Architect, and is required for safety purposes when buildings have timber and joist flooring on each storey. Sound Proofing is required in hotel bedrooms to ensure peace and quiet for guests, Abbey Interiors have completed work in this area for New Park Hotel Kilkenny, The Lord Bagenal Hotel, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow, The Kilkenny Inn Hotel as well as interview and consulting rooms for the Citizens Information Centre to ensure client privacy.
With the introduction of BER Energy ratings Abbey Interiors are now fully compliant to supply the required Energy rated thermal boards.
Abbey Interiors recently finished a complete fit-out consisting of Dry Lining, Suspended Ceilings, Fire and Sound Proofing for Tax Back.com in Kilkeny.
Further recent projects include KCLR, Radio Kilkenny, RTE, SuperValu and EURO Spar.
Abbey Interiors covers the Kilkenny, Carlow, Waterford, Tipperary, Laois and Dublin areas but will consider work in other areas and depending on work load usually respond to your enquiry within twenty four hours.
In 2003 John Sheil and Michael Walsh having between them more than 20 years experience in the suspended ceiling, metal stud partitions and carpentry area decided to set up their own Company “Abbey Interiors”. It had become apparent to them that metal stud partition walls (Dry Lining) and Suspended Ceilings usually go hand in hand, so they decided to provide the two services under one company.
This service became very convenient and cost saving for the customers who need only deal with the one company.
